Colorectal Cancer Signs and Symptoms

In the early stages of the disease, patients may be completely asymptomatic. This is the reason why so much effort and research are dedicated to colorectal cancer Screening. Screening is looking for cancer before signs and symptoms appear, at which time it is much easier to treat and even totally cure!

As the disease progresses, patients commonly present with the following:

  • Changes in bowel habits, including diarrhea and/or constipation.
  • Feeling of incomplete bowel emptying
  • Blood in stools or rectal bleeding
  • Loss of appetite and fatigue
  • Unexplained weight loss
